Biography
Dr Dominic Ng received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Toronto. He subsequently completed his undergraduate medical training, and specialty training in internal medicine and endocrinology from the University of Toronto. Dr Ng went on pursue postdoctoral training in basic biomedical research at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the United States. He is presently Scientist at the Keenan Research Center, staff endocrinologist in the Department of Medicine at St Michael’s Hospital and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Dr Ng has a special interest in lipid disorders and diabetes. Dr. Ng runs a Basic Science Research Laboratory at St. Michael’s Hospital with his current research focusing on novel roles of lipids in the development of heart disease, diabetes and obesity. His research has been funded by national funding agencies. He currently serves as a National Research Council member of the Canadian Diabetes Association.
