Biography
After graduating from Nankai University with a B.S. degree in Medical Biology, Dr Han enrolled in a Ph.D. program at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Afterwards he moved to continue research at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine then UT Southwestern Medical Center. In 2005, he was recruited to Singapore to set up a research program in Singapore Bioimaging Consortium (SBIC). Over the last seven years, he has built up a research team with expertise ranging from molecular and cell biology, live cell imaging and electrophysiology, to mouse genetics and animal physiology. In addition to receiving funding from A*STAR Biomedical Research Council, a number of extramural grants have been secured both locally and internationally. Currently, he is Head of the Laboratory of Metabolic Medicine at SBIC, with joint appointments as Senior Principal Investigator at Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, A*STAR, and Associate Professor at National University of Singapore and Duke-NUS.
