Biography
Dr Rudich achieved his PhD and MD at Ben-Gurion University, Israel. He also has experience working in the renowned Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. He has established a reputation as a leading researcher via his comprehensive, highly inter-disciplinary and collaborative research program. His work has unraveled various aspects of adipose tissue and adipocyte biology relevant to the pathogenesis of obesity-associated morbidity – a major health challenge at the current time. His work covers population-based epidemiological studies, lifestyle intervention trials, chracterizing disease-related changes in human adipose tissue and use of appropriate animal and cellular models. He holds important editorial positions, such as for American Journal of Physiology.
